A SewerScan is recommended on any home purchase you are considering. Even new homes can have problems in their sewer lateral.  The main sewer line from the home to the city or private connection is the responsibility of the homeowner and it is best to determine if any problems exist prior to closing escrow.
SewerScans can range from $100 to $500 depending on complexity and may exceed that if additional measures are necessary (like the removal of toilets or obstructions).   Many of our contractors offer this unbiased service to complement their existing businesses. During a regularly scheduled home inspection, they may offer a reduced fee structure.
It is often the unknown that can get you into trouble.  The reasons for even having a home inspection will uncover several things you did not know existed.   The term “better safe than sorry” applies when it comes to inspecting the major systems of your home

I am interested in adding this service to my existing business, what camera and training do you recommend?

You should consider taking our online training which will go through many of the questions you would have when purchasing a sewer camera.  The price you pay for the online class can be fully applied toward the purchase of any sewer camera United Infrared sells.
